About us
When asked “Who we are”, we always answer the same way: Heirs and Custodians of a history that drives us to love our land, and we want to make you fall in love with it by creating unique emotions to wear.
Our story begins in Noto, a place of the heart and soul, on Via Nicolaci, one of the most beautiful streets in the world, where fate allowed us to realize a great dream: to manage an art gallery, since 2016, located on the top floor of the renowned Palazzo dei Principi Di Villadorata, and to open, in December 2021, at number 13, a small artistic perfumery with the mission of redefining the value of Made in Sicily, through a project entirely dedicated to this city.
Acqua di Noto is led by Paoletta Ruffino, an art historian and reative Director, and Ludovica Infantino, CEO and Commercial Manager for Foreign Affairs. Two women, mother and daughter, with complementary visions, united by a passion for art, culture, and the value of Sicilian tradition, who created a brand capable of evoking sensory emotions through artistic perfumery.
Acqua di Noto represents a design vision that bridges the past and the future of a new body philosophy, able to combine spiritual research and psychophysical well-being. A brand dedicated to turning the ritual of personal purification into a unique sensory experience.
In via Nicolaci 13, an intimate and secluded corner in the historic center, we nurture our growing passion for artistic perfumery and more, sharing it with those seeking a timeless personal style, within the culture of a brand that is exclusively Sicilian.
The logo
When the ”Acqua di Noto” brand was created, we were inspired by a decorative motif carved on the frieze of the entrance portal of Palazzo Nicolaci, taken from Vignola, certain that no cultural symbol like this could have better represented our brand identity, reflecting the orientation and objectives of the company, as well as for the personality and its values built on the heritage of the past and on the love for our roots.
It represents a tall tripod, with the function of an incense burner, where in between there is a pair of griffins facing each other in heraldic pose, symbols of guardianship, vigilance and courage.
A visual message, an immediate communication to evoke the ancient use of incense in the ritual of purification not only of the body but also of the air, and as a symbol of the odor suavitatis, or rather of the sweet perfume, spiritual food of the soul.
